The Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining hosted a “Living Learning Partners Appreciation Coffee Event” on Friday, April 29, to show the office’s appreciation to all Living Learning Partners for their leadership and support for Living Learning Communities (LLCs) on campus.
Many Living Learning Partners, Residential Living staff, and students participated in this event. LLCs at IUP provide students with opportunities to extend their learning beyond the classroom and into our residence halls, which ties directly into their academic success at IUP.
There are currently 39 Living Learning Partners who help support and enrich residential life in IUP’s LLCs by providing opportunities for interaction with faculty members outside of the classroom. IUP LLCs, in partnership with a variety of academic departments, faculty and staff, strive to achieve the following goals: develop a purposeful, open, just, disciplined, caring, and celebrative community; provide a living-learning community that nurtures students’ intellectual, personal, occupational, and social learning and development; and provide attractive, comfortable, safe, and well-maintained facilities. The Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining is looking for more faculty and staff involvement in LLCs. If you are interested in becoming a Living Learning Partner, please contact
