Candice Proctor was named the Punxsutawney Person of Purpose for April.
The monthly award
recognizes the student who is most actively involved in classroom
participation and out-of-classroom opportunities. The recognition
reinforces the critical value of passion, persistence, and purpose for
achieving meaningful success.
Award recipients are chosen from faculty nominations and activity and event participation records.
Proctor attended eight co-curricular opportunities and Writing Center visits and had previously earned two honorable mentions. She was nominated by Lara Hauer.
Honorable mentions go to Lexxus Charles, Trishana Gordon, Lori Miller and Akeem Thomas.
Proctor will receive a $100 award.
