The James G. Mill Center for Health and Fitness in Zink Hall is hosting its sixth annual
5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 30. The 5K is entirely on the Hoodlebug Trail and starts at 11:00 a.m. (registration starts at 10:00 a.m.). Faculty that participate in this event will receive 25 Healthy U points!
Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to the Four Footed Friends animal shelter. More details about the event and organization we are donating to as well as registration forms can be found on the James G. Mill Center Fitness Center’s
5K Run/Walk page and on our
Classes, Promos, and Events page.
The cost for the event is $17 until race day and $20 on race day. The cost for students and members of the fitness center is $15 until race day and $20 on race day. We will be giving medals for the top three male and female in each of seven age groups, as well as prizes for various categories
including walkers! Refreshments will be available, and we will be raffling off shoeboxes filled with gift cards and other items from local companies in theme with the Four Footed Friends.
All are welcome, and we’d love to see you there running, walking, or even helping with the event. So pass the word along and sign up with a group of friends and family so you can help the local Four Footed Friends animal shelter!
