On Sunday, April 17, 2016 the Association for Management Information Systems (AMIS) held its first annual Kickball Tournament at the Rugby Field behind Robertshaw. This tournament was organized by current AMIS President Deric Schmidt and incoming President Andrew Selker as a fundraiser for the club.

AMIS Kickball teamThe tournament was open to COBSAC members at first, opening to all of Eberly and IUP after. A total of six teams signed up to compete for the first-place cash prize.

On game day only four teams showed up, but they had plenty of fun. After a few hours and many bottles of water, the PGN team “Boys Just Wanna Have Fun” took home first place and the cash prize of $80. The non-club team “Irish Car Bombs” took home the coveted Best Dressed Award, which came complete with a golden Barbie statue.

AMIS would like to make this a yearly tournament happening every spring. Next year they hope for these teams to return, along with many more new teams.
