On Wednesday April 12, 2016, Phi Gamma Nu Professional Business Fraternity hosted a guest speaker event in the Eberly Auditorium.
Phil Henry, founder/president of Henry Wealth Management firm, located in Bridgeville, Pa. was a huge hit with our members. Henry graduated from IUP in 1981 with a BS in Marketing and later with his MBA in 1982.
During his presentation, Henry spoke to 70 students about what employers look for in young business professionals in today's work force. His enthusiasm and energy made him a phenomenal speaker, and it resonated with the members. Henry mentioned the importance of interpersonal relationships and covering the small details that add up to boost professionalism.
Mike Mann, a senior accounting major, said “It’s always great to hear alumni come back and share their crazy roller coaster of an experience after being in the same shoes we are in as IUP students. Mr. Phil Henry did exactly that with great passion and enthusiasm. He was easily one of my favorite speakers I’ve had the pleasure of listening to and meeting. I can’t wait for the day I am able to share my story as an alum of how I persevered through adversity and become successful through hard work and ‘activity.’ Mr. Henry is a picture perfect reason why students tirelessly work to become the best that they can be.”
