Attention Seniors: As you prepare for commencement, you may participate in the 2016 the Senior
Class Gift program. When you do, you will make a lasting mark on your time here at IUP, and you’ll earn the Philanthropy Cord to wear with your commencement attire.
The Senior Class Gift tradition started in 1888. In recent years, the Senior Class Gift has assisted underclassmen with scholarship support, restored the stained-glass windows in the new Humanities and Social Sciences building, and much more. This year, the Senior Class Gift Committee has chosen to support the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Your gift of $20.16 or more will be applied to the Dean’s Merit Scholarship for your college and, in turn, the Senior Class Gift Committee will award you with the Philanthropy Cord.
Make your gift to the Senior Class Gift now.
Or, pick up a pledge form at the Salute to Grads event at the Co-op Store on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Philanthropy Cords will be available at the event.
According to Kelly Parsons, president of the Student Philanthropy Council and a representative of the Senior Class Gift Committee, the committee is striving for a 20.16 percent participation rate from the Class of 2016 and hopes to exceed 500 gifts from seniors.
