Spring Fever Events

Students and a professor in the IUP Geoscience Department's PlanetariumThere are a lot of activities scheduled for IUP students to do during Spring Fever week at IUP (pdf). There are events planned for every day during the week (March 14–March 19).

  • You can showcase your talent at Open Mic Night in the HUB Delaware Room on Monday, March 14 at 8:00 p.m.  
  • The Ohio Room is the place to be on Tuesday night. The Alcohol-Free Mix Off starts at 5:00 p.m. and is followed by a Party Smart panel discussion at 6:30 p.m.
  • Attention all gamers: Laser Tag/Video Game Tournament starts at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Ohio Room. If your head is in the clouds, why not check out the stars by visiting the IUP Planetarium for a Night in the Stars. Be at Weyandt Hall at 6:45 p.m. Finish up Wednesday evening by attending Majoring in Wagering: Look at College Gambling at 7:00 p.m. in the Toretti Auditorium (KCAC). Sergeant James Jones of the Pennsylvania State Police will take a look at gambling in college. Attendance vouchers will be provided.
  • Thursday night has six events happening: everything from tie-dying t-shirts, a Culture Dance, and Family Feud Night to a Super Smash Brothers Tournament. These events are held in different locations on campus. Check the poster (pdf) for the locations and times.
  • Friday is jam-packed with events starting with Feminist Friday at 11:30 a.m. in G60 Suites on Maple East. Three afternoon events, followed by six evening events, including BINGO, are on the agenda for your enjoyment. Check the poster (pdf) for locations and times.
  • Enjoy your Saturday by attending the various events on campus during the day. There will be Mocktails, Just Dance with Drunk Goggles, Pool Tournament, Grilled Cheese and Games, Open Gym in Zink Hall Gym B, and, last but not least, a Dive-In Movie in the Zink Pool.
