Annah Hill and Joseph Domaracki have
been awarded a grant of $20,000 through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and
the ARC of Pennsylvania. The grant will allow them to evaluate the transition
planning process for individuals with complex special needs.
Hill and Domaracki, both
faculty members in the Department of Communication Disorders, Special Education, and
Disability Services, will use a survey tool they created to obtain information
from parents, guardians, and school personnel about transition services. The
results will be analyzed and used to improve local transition planning services for students in special education, especially those with the most complex special needs.
