“White Like Me” Film and Panel Discussion

As part of the Center for Community Growth’s 2016 Film Series, the documentary White Like Me will be shown on Friday evening, January 29, followed by a panel discussion. This event is open to the IUP and Indiana communities and will be held at the Chevy Chase Community Center (640 N. Fifth Avenue, Indiana). Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with the film to begin at 6:30 p.m.

The film focuses on white privilege and institutional racism. The discussion panel will include:

  • Michael Driscoll, IUP President
  • William Sutton, Indiana Borough Police Chief
  • Sherene Hess, Indiana County Commissioner
  • Michelle Sandhoff, IUP Sociology Faculty
  • Austin Gibson, Student Leader
  • Tieshay Skinner, Student Leader
