Congratulations to all seven IUP undergraduate students in the Cyber Catch Scholarship program!
These students are majoring or minoring in information assurance in criminology and computer science. They were offered internships or full-time positions with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at a recent job fair they attended. Jeri Rogish and Lea Ivanoff were offered DHS internships in the Cybersecurity and Operations Office. Colton Delman was offered a full-time position as information technology specialist in a new unit of DHS called the National Cybersecurity and Communication Integration Center. Chelsee Grafton was also offered a full-time position as an information technology specialist. Shannon Moser was offered a position in the Natural Protections and Programs Directorate. Parwhaz Dhaliwal received an offer with the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis. Blake Rubach was also offered a position within DHS.
The Cyber Catch Scholarship program is an awarded federal grant in information assurance that provides tuition, a stipend, and unique experiences for undergraduate students interested in cyber security. Applications for the fall 2016 scholarship competition are due April 1.
