College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Distinguished Young Alumni to Visit Campus

Michael Moyer, CNSM Distinguished Alumni RecipientPresident of Environmental Service Laboratories and IUP alumnus Michael Moyer will visit campus on Monday, November 9, to receive a Young Alumni Achievement Award.

Moyer graduated with a BS in Chemistry in 2004. He will share his experience from working as president and chief operating officer of Environmental Service Laboratories and Environmental Land Surveying and Solutions.

Moyer started his career in a laboratory position at Environmental Services Laboratory, becoming involved in chemical analysis issues important to the shale gas industry, and quickly advanced his position in the company to his current position as COO over a short period of time.

Moyer also continues to be highly involved in service to the community and to IUP.  He currently serves on the college’s advisory board for the Professional Science Masters (PSM) program.

  • Tour of current laboratory facilities in the Chemistry Department, facilitated by Larry Kupchella and George Long

3:35–4:25 p.m.

  • Keynote Talk: "Right Place, Right Time"
