IUP’s SEEDS (Strategies for Ecology Education, Diversity, and Sustainability) club invites you to participate in the second annual Community Seed Swap on Saturday, November 14, from 1:00–4;00 p.m. in Zink Gym A.

A seed swap is an opportunity to donate and/or receive free seed for your garden next year. This event is free to participate in and is part of a larger project that will help to begin the Northern Appalachian Seed Bank.

No seeds are required to attend. Please do not bring GMOs or hybrid seeds. Children’s activities will be provided.

At 2:00 p.m. guest speaker Edward Donley of the IUP Mathematics Department will present "Growing Your Own Wildflowers", which will cover benefits of gardening with native plants and techniques required to grow your own native plants from seeds based on his own experience in transforming his Indiana County property to a native plant habitat.

Questions about the event can be directed to Ellen Yerger at eyerger@iup.edu, Biology SEEDS Club faculty advisor.
