Lily McVay was named the October Punxsutawney Person of Purpose. The monthly award
recognizes the student who is most actively involved in classroom
participation and out-of-classroom opportunities. The recognition
reinforces the critical value of passion, persistence, and purpose of
achieving meaningful success.
Award recipients are chosen from faculty nominations and activity and event participation records.
McVay attended 10 cocurricular opportunities and completed her study labs across two weeks. She was nominated by Lynn
Shelly and Theresa Ruffner as being among the most
outstanding in their
classrooms. She will receive a $100 award.
