Dear Colleagues,
I am saddened to inform you of the death of Alex Moreland, a
sophomore communications media major from Greensburg.
The death of someone you knew can evoke strong feelings. The best
way to cope is to talk to your closest friends, family members, or
trusted teachers. There are people among us who have experienced
similar events, and they are often more than willing to help
others going through difficult circumstances.
Students who would like to speak with a counselor should call
724-357-2621 or visit the Counseling Center in the Center for
Health and Well-Being, Suites on Maple East. Walk-in hours at the
Counseling Center are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from
1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Counselors
will be available for crisis appointments and consultation and to
offer guidance and support during difficult times. Students who
would like to speak to a campus minister should contact the Office
of the Vice President for Student Affairs at 724-357-4040.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Alex's life on
Wednesday, October 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clement L.
Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., 409 West Pittsburgh Street,
Greensburg. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 29,
at 10:00 a.m. at Christ's Church, 145 North Main Street,
Greensburg. Online condolences can be made through
the funeral home.
