On Friday, October 9, at 4:00 p.m., please come to Wallwork Quad to celebrate Holi, the Festival of Colors, organized by Wallwork Global Awareness Living Learning Community.
Holi is a spring festival, also known as the Festival of Colors or the Festival of Love. Holi got its name as the Festival of Colors from Lord Krishna, a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu, who liked to play pranks on the village girls by drenching them in water and colors. It is an ancient Hindu religious festival which has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities outside Asia.
Feel free to wear your own white t-shirts to the event. A small number of free t-shirts will be provided as well.
