Tamara Whited presented at the Fifth International
Conference on Food Studies, held at Virginia Tech (Sept. 18–19, 2015).
Her paper was titled “Cheese and Pastoral Ecosystems in the Western
Pyrenees.” It focused on the
20th-century history of high-altitude cheese production in France’s
western Pyrenees by exploring linkages among production, consumption,
and environmental change.
