The 2015 Punxsutawney Advance College Experience began this week with a Summer II enrollment of 56 newly admitted students. Classwork began on Tuesday, July 7, preceded by two days of orientation and preparation activities.
With a focus on facilitating student engagement, a number of initiatives are underway. Among them are an interdisciplinary common journal program to accompany the continuing common reader program; the implementation of study labs as formal part of each student’s daily academic schedule, and; the sponsorship of summer interest groups under the guidance of faculty and administrative mentors.
The seven-credit PACE courseload includes Introduction to the Arts, Basic Writing or Composition I, and Introduction to Higher Education or Introduction to Information Literacy.
