Dr. Lloyd Onyett, Assistant Dean for Technology in the College of Education and Educational Technology, will be conducting a workshop on "DisplayNote - Class Collaboration System for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)" at the International Society for Technology in Education conference on June 29, 2015 in Philadelphia.
Onyett’s workshop will demonstrate how to use the DisplayNote software. DisplayNote
is a desktop and mobile application that lets faculty stream content from a
computer or tablet to the devices the students are using. This presentation
will demonstrate this new software system that allows faculty and students to
use a mixture of iPads, Android tablets, PCs and Macs in a collaborative mode
in the classroom.
DisplayNote allows you to display apps from your tablet to
the classroom computer and projector as you move around the classroom, gives
you the ability to view and to display your students’ screens to the classroom
projector, gives you the power from your tablet to control and annotate a
PowerPoint running on the instructor station, and allows students to capture
your presentation on their devices, take notes and make annotations.
can be used to pose questions and receive responses from your students. This
system has the potential to dramatically change the classroom environment.
