Eberly Student Organization Seniors Receive Graduation Cords

Dean Robert Camp cording Kali Kubatka on April 29 during the COBSAC Cording Ceremony.The College of Business Student Advisory Council (COBSAC) hosted its annual COBSAC Cording Ceremony on April 29, 2015, to recognize graduating seniors who have participated in one of the 15 student business organizations.

The ceremony began with Kara Romance, assistant dean for Undergraduate Student Services, giving a welcome and introduction for all of the COBSAC officers. Micki Hyde, adviser for the Association for Management Information Systems (AMIS), Nate Adams, AMIS vice president and graduating senior, and Robert Camp, dean of the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology, all spoke at the ceremony recognizing the importance of their leadership roles in the college and providing advice as they leave IUP and enter the workforce.

Seniors from Association for Operations Management, AMIS, Management Association, Society for Human Resources Management, Future Entrepreneurs Club, Phi Gamma Nu, International Business Association, Student Accounting Association, Student Finance Association, Student Managed Investment Portfolio, Student Marketing Association, and COBSAC attended and received cords. A crimson cord was given to student organization members and a silver cord to the officers of the organizations.  

Joesph Rosensale recieving the Management Professor of the Year award.Following the cording, 2014–15 Professor of the Year awards were announced for all departments of the business school. Gerald Opalinski, Accounting; Daniel Lawson, Finance and Legal Studies; James Rodger, Information Systems and Decision Sciences; Joseph Rosendale, Management; and Tracey Missien, Marketing, were recognized by the students. Light refreshments were served in the Serafini Room after all closing remarks were made.
