Bizzaro Publishes Article on Equitable Writing Pedagogy

Patrick Bizzaro has published an essay, with John Baker, "The Poetic and the Personal : Toward a Pedagogy of Social Equity in English Language Learning," in Teaching English in the Two-Year College 42.1 (December 2014: 172-186.

Bizzaro and Baker write, "on the basis of scholarly reports available to us as well as our own experiences teaching in the United States and abroad ... emphasis on personal writing and students' genre knowledge, especially in combination, will advance the cause of social equity for English language learners."
