IUP Crimson Hawks Basketball Men’s and Women’s Teams Host Clarion Tonight

Be sure to make your way to the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC) this Wednesday night as the Crimson Hawks take on the Clarion Golden Eagles in their last regular-season home games. IUP women’s basketball will kick off the night at 5:30 p.m., and the IUP men’s basketball game will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday night is sure to be exciting as the Crimson Hawks celebrate Senior Night! IUP women’s basketball will recognize Ashley Stoner (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Thomas Jefferson), Lindsay Stamp (Erie, Pa. /Mercyhurst Prep), Marita Mathe (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana), Lisa Burton (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Penn Hills), and Amy Fairman (Creekside, Pa. /Marion Center) as they take the court for their final IUP regular-season game. IUP men’s basketball will recognize Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter), Jeremy Jeffers (Wilson, N.C./Greenfield School), and Shawn Dyer (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding).

Michael Driscoll, president of IUP, has invited every IUP employee to attend Wednesday’s game for IUP Employee Appreciation Night. IUP students should also plan on attending this game; the first 200 students starting at 7:00 p.m. will receive a cell phone cling wallet—great for holding your I-Card!

The Student Co-Op Association will once again sponsor the Shoot for a Hundred contest during the men’s game. With four missed shots in the past four games, the Shoot for a Hundred cash prize is now up to $500! One lucky student will have the chance to win it all if they can sink a three-point shot.

From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., the Indiana Chamber of Commerce will host its Business After Hours at the KCAC. The event will include the announcement of Leader’s Circle Finalists.

In addition to all of the exciting game promotions and events, all specialty burgers are just $5 at the Baseline Grille, near the Alumni Suite.

Tickets are still available to see the Crimson Hawks on Wednesday night, starting at just $9 each, and may be purchased online or by visiting the KCAC box office located at 711 Pratt Drive, open Monday–Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For groups of 10 or more, call 724-357-5205 to receive a $3 discount on tickets.
