Jenny Tone-Pah-Hote and Keith Richotte, both of the University of North Carolina American Studies Department, will be on campus Monday, February 16, and Tuesday, February 17, 2015, to visit Anthropology classes and present evening lectures. These events are sponsored by the Native American Awareness Council and the Office of Social Equity.
On Monday evening, Tone-Pah-Hote will present “Examining the ‘Indiana Princess’: Kiowa Women and the American Indian Exposition, 1934–1945.”
On Tuesday, Richotte will lecture on “Tribal Constitutional History and Its Relevance to Tribal Nations Today.”
Both presentations will take place at 7:00 p.m. in G98 Wallwork, and are free and open to all members of the IUP community.
