The Physics Department will present a colloquium on Research Experiences for Undergraduates on Friday, February 6, 2015. The seminar will take place at 2:30 p.m. and will be led by John Bradshaw. He will present details regarding how to find the right undergraduate research program, how to apply, the relevant deadlines, and local research opportunities.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates are paid summer research positions funded by the National Science Foundation. The award includes a $5,000 stipend, lab supplies as necessary, campus housing, meals, and travel expenses.

Short presentations by two IUP undergrads who worked through research experiences in the summer of 2014 will follow. There will be a short Q&A session afterward.
