Construction of the new Humanities building and the Folger Dining Hall renovation are the two major on-going construction projects continuing during spring semester at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Construction work on Folger Hall

Interior demolition work has been completed on Folger Hall, and mechanical and electrical systems are being installed. Work will begin soon on the new front addition to the building. The post office and Print Center have remained operational throughout, and appreciation goes out to the staff and visitors for their patience and understanding during construction.

The building has an estimated July 2015 completion date and will be ready to serve students for fall term 2015. The building will house an all-you-care-to-eat meal plan dining hall as well as a small retail food facility.

The Humanities building is on track to meet the October 24, 2015, estimated completion date, and will open for classes for spring term 2016.

The time from October 2015 to January 2016 will be spent installing furniture and IT equipment and preparing the building for IUP occupancy.

The building is nearing the 60 percent completion milestone. It is fully weatherproof, and the interior work is proceeding with no affect from the frigid winter weather. Installation of the brick façade is underway, and the masons are working through the winter with the help of temporary enclosures and heat.
