Janet Blood presented two custom designs at the International Textile and
Apparel Association Annual Conference in Charlotte, NC.
Experimental design using the components of two Rainbow Looms to create a
jersey knit tank dress. Spectrum color loom bands were alternated with
black bands to give a rainbow visual effect.
Design inspired by volcanic eruptions and flowing molten lava. The effect
was created by mixing tactile and visual textures as well as over-dyeing. The design bodice has a back lace opening and halter neckband. The
asymmetrical skirt has both a back and front train of patterned silk charmeuse.
Jewelry details highlight the neck and hipline area.
