Planetarium Show To Explore Connection Between Radio Static and Space

The IUP Planetarium will present “Listening to Radio: What (or Who) is Out There?” on Wednesday, December 3, at 7:00 p.m. The show will delve into the extraterrestrial sources of radio static.

After the show, those in attendance will be treated to telescope observation of the night sky.

This show is part of a series taking place during the fall and spring semesters. This will be the last show of the fall semester. The next show will be an examination of two of Jupiter’s moons, Io and Europa, and is scheduled for late March 2015.

The planetarium is located on the first floor of Weyandt Hall, adjacent to the lobby. Doors will open 15 minutes before each show. Seating is limited. Groups that wish to attend are asked to call in advance.  For more information, call 724-357-5626 or 724-357-2379.
