IUP Trumpet Ensemble Recital, November 11

The IUP Trumpet Ensemble will present its annual fall recital on Tuesday, November 11, in Gorell Recital Hall in John Sutton Hall on the IUP campus. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is free and open to the general public. Kevin Eisensmith directs the IUP Trumpet Ensemble.

The program will feature numerous pieces for the 20-member ensemble, along with works for smaller groups. The performance will begin with Albert Zabel’s “Procession.” Ben Blasko, a graduate candidate in conducting, will direct “Prologue for Four Antiphonal Trumpet Choirs,” written by David Uber. The program will conclude with David Hickman’s arrangement of Leroy Anderson’s “Bugler’s Holiday.”
