Seniors who give to the Senior Class Gift receive the philanthropy cord to wear with graduation regalia as a symbol of your commitment to IUP. You can obtain yours at Salute to Grads on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Co-op Store.
This year's Senior Class Gift committee has chosen to refurbish stained glass windows that were salvaged from the Sutton Hall Annex during its demolition in the 1970s. The windows will be placed in the new Humanities and Social Sciences building that currently is under construction.
Gifts of any size will be accepted, but seniors are encouraged to give $20.14 or more. Those who do will receive the philanthropy cord. Worn with graduation regalia, the cord symbolizes your commitment to IUP through the Senior Class Gift program.
According to Kadeem Washington, president of the Student Philanthropy Council and current vice president of the Senior Class Gift Committee, the committee is 50 percent to goal of reaching 20.14 percent participation from the Class of 2014.
