Daniel Wissinger, Alexandria Kappel, and Janice Baker, faculty in the Department of Special Education and Clinical Services, presented at the 36th Annual Conference on Learning Disabilities, October 2-3, in Philadelphia.

In "Preparing 21st Century Educators: Integrating Hand-Held Technologies into Instructional Practice," Wissinger, Kappel, and Baker highlighted the alignment of IUP undergraduate courses with resources designed to prepare teachers to thrive and think critically in an information-rich world.

They shared applications that are relevant for students with learning disabilities and described a lesson plan using graphic organizers in reading.
