Treats available at Confections for a CauseThe fourth annual Confections for a Cause event raised a record amount of money—over $1,300 to support the research efforts of the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation! The fundraiser is organized each year by the Department of Special Education and Clinical Services.

Confections for a Cause displayThe event was held on September 22, 2014, in Davis Hall, with sweet treats prepared and donated by faculty, staff, students, and community members. Help for the event was provided by the IUP chapters of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Council for Exceptional Children, and the Audiology Student Association.

The money raised will go to the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation, which seeks to raise awareness of the disease, find an early detection test for ovarian cancer, and to find improved treatments for the disease. Anyone wishing to contribute can make donations through the foundation’s website.
