There is still time to reserve your spot at the 2014 University Museum benefit gala, Hot Iron: A Victorian Industrial Fantasy, will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. in Sutton Hall on the IUP campus.
Join us in enjoying the musical styling of Reginald Stanley Rumpole-Smyth III and his Chrononauts featuring David Ferguson, Zachery Collins, Jacob Ertl, John Mullen, and the “Intrepid Colonel,” Joseph Baunoch. Gala guests will also be treated to a performance by “Madame Agnes Fontayn-Duncan and her Time-Trippers” presenting “Inventor’s Fantasy” featuring IUP Dance Theater.
As part of the gala, a variety of items will be offered during silent and live auctions. Those attending will have the chance to bid on the items donated by local businesses and individuals. All bids must be made at the Gala, and a tax credit is available on the amount bid and paid above the listed fair market value.
Reservations, which need to be made in advance, are still being accepted and cost $125 per person. The invitation and reservation card are both available online for download. The theme for this year’s annual University Museum Gala will be steam-punk. Celebrate the intrepid Victorians who didn’t let full skirts, pleats, and starched collars impede their daring exploits! Attendees are asked to indulge their steam-punk fashion fantasies by dressing for the theme.
