The Psychology Brown Bag Series launches with “Copyright Basics for Researchers: Understanding your Rights and Respecting the Rights of Others” on Friday, September 12, from 12:20 to 1:10 p.m. in Room 111, Uhler Hall.

The presentation will be offered by Hilliary Creely, assistant dean for Research, and Luis Gonzalez, dean of Libraries.

What are copyrights and when do they apply? Could I be a copyright holder and not even know it?  When is something in the “public domain”? Do I need permission to use a published scale/survey? The answers to these questions might surprise you!

Please join us to explore these questions and discover resources to help you better understand your rights and respect the rights of others. This presentation will be interactive, so please bring examples and questions from your research and scholarly experiences for lively discussion!
