Come meet our members and join our active group!
The first IUP American Chemical Society Student Chapter meeting of the fall semester will be held on September 2 from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Weyandt Hall, room 128. We will discuss and plan this semester’s upcoming activities and events!
The IUP American Chemical Society Student Chapter is comprised of science-based majors and minors plus other people with a general interest in the sciences. We participate in many science-based activities throughout IUP and the western Pennsylvania area. Members of ACS also have the opportunity to travel to meetings and conventions to learn about the most recent developments in science, possible career options, and to meet new people that may help them in the future.
Members run the weekly hot dog sales located in Weyant Hall each Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you are unable to make it to our meeting, come and hang out while you have lunch!
ACS offers free chemistry tutoring from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Be sure to bring your textbook and notes.
