The Northern Appalachian Folk Festival is coming back to downtown Indiana on September 4, 5, and 6, 2014. More than 1,000 people attended last year’s festival. Expanded venders, artists, workshops, theater, film, and musical acts promise an even greater turnout this year. Seventeen bands will be performing at a main stage on Philadelphia Street and at the Brown Hotel and Artists Hand Gallery, including Joe Gruschecky and the Houserockers.

Emily Weber, of the IUP Writing Center, wrote an article about the upcoming Folk Festival for the Indiana Gazette (August 26, 2014). The online article goes into detail about the music and other events taking place at the festival, and how it all came together.
