Fall 2014 Qualtrics Update

Posted on 8/21/2014 9:12:35 AM

Coming in fall 2014, one less password to remember! Qualtrics, the online survey software tool, will be included in the IUP Single Sign-On (SSO) family of services. You will no longer need to create a separate Qualtrics username in order to use the application.

What is single sign on, and what does it mean to me?

New users will be able to sign into Qualtrics using their IUP network username and password. This is the same username used for MyIUP, D2L, Moodle, and other services the campus provides.

What happens if I already have an account?

Existing users will be able to log in with their existing account and then go through a migration process. The process itself will migrate all of your existing settings, surveys, and results to use your network username and password.

Will my data be lost?

No data will be lost in the transition to SSO. During the move, your existing login name and e-mail address will be replaced with your network username/password. Existing accounts will look exactly the same as they did prior to the migration.

How do I sign in?

With the implementation of single sign on, only accounts created through our brand-specific login will be associated with IUP. The address will be iup.qualtrics.com. Upon landing on this page, you should see the familiar IUP single sign-on page.

Where can I get assistance with using Qualtrics?

The Applied Research Lab provides free technical assistance to IUP students, faculty, and staff engaged in research. This assistance includes help with instrument design, data organization, graphical presentation of data, statistical software such as SPSS and SAS, and the use of the online survey software tool Qualtrics.
