John Wesley Lowery, professor and chair in the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, has coauthored an article in the Journal of Marketing for Higher Education with Barbara Tobolowsky of the University of Texas at Arlington.
In “Selling College: A Longitudinal Study of American College Football Bowl Game Public Service Announcements,” Lowery and Tobolowsky examine the messages about institutions and higher education communicated by commercials aired during college bowl games over a seven-year period.
This research builds on earlier research published in the International Journal of Educational Advancement.
