Two IUP McNair scholars were selected to present their McNair research projects at the 15th annual National McNair Research Conference, sponsored by the University of Maryland College Park, on March 13–16, 2014.
Nicholas Brock
presented his work, titled “Does the Use of
Admissions Criteria (GPA, SAT Scores)
Disadvantage Students from Certain Geographic Locations? An In-Depth Analysis of Indiana
University of Pennsylvania Admissions and
Criteria Process.” Nick’s project is guided by Victor Garcia.
Kim Waddy presented her project, “Leadership Analysis of U.S. Congressional Data for the Measurement of Dissonance Impact on Bill Passage,” supervised by her faculty mentor, Dighton Fiddner. Both Kim and Nick are Political Science majors.
