The James G. Mill Center for Health and Fitness is having its fourth annual
5K this Saturday, April 26, at 11:00 a.m. on the
The race will start at 11:00 a.m., with registration starting at 10:00 a.m.
The course is entirely on the scenic and mostly level Hoodlebug Trail,
with parking and the start of the race just off Wayne Avenue. See the fitness center website or click on the following link for a map and directions to the parking lot.
The cost of the 5K will be $20 for all participants on the day of the race. The cost for students and members
of the fitness center will remain $15 until the day of the race, so sign up before the end of the week.
are being donated to the Sports Gear Project of Samaritan’s Purse. For
every $8 donated, at least one piece of soccer equipment will be donated
to children in Cambodia to be used with the Samaritan’s Purse Youth
Sports Leadership Program.
Even if you don’t plan to run or walk in the event, you can still donate and participate in your own way. There will be ten shoeboxes to be raffled with gift cards
for eating out, fitness merchandise, and IUP gear along with
passes for bowling, golf, and movies. Tickets will be $3 for one arm
length and $5 for two arm lengths and can be entered for specific
raffles. Join us Saturday to get involved!
