The Pajama DriveAs the cast of Theater-by-the-Grove’s The Pajama Game enters tech week, the costumes, sets, and lights are not the only things on their mind. Collecting new pajamas and new books is not just another thing on their “to do” list.

The Pajama Program is an organization that collects new books and pajamas for local, underprivileged children and their families. This outreach is something new to the Department of Theater and Dance, and everyone is very excited to be involved. This outreach includes a drive that is being conducted in the Indiana community as well as the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus.

Local businesses and campus buildings where items can be dropped off are as follows:

Indiana Area Locations

  • The Artists Hand Gallery
  • The Book Nook
  • The Indiana Free Library

IUP Campus Locations

  • Waller Hall (Performing Arts Center) Room 104
  • University Libraries Main Lobby
  • Ackerman Hall Room 207

Monetary donations can be made online.

Boxes for collection will also be placed at the performances of The Pajama Game on April 10–13 in Fisher Auditorium.

This drive will continue through Thursday, March 15.
