self-quiz section (April 2014, pg. 82).
brief, fun quiz designed to help women get motivated for self-improvement, the
opportunity came to Lauber because two of his articles had crossed the desk of
Associate Editor Zahra Barnes. After
several consulting phone calls, Lauber was listed as “Source: Erick Lauber,
Ph.D., Indiana University of Pennsylvania” at the bottom of the quiz.

pursuit of happiness, kind of led to an opportunity to be referenced as an
authority on self-help—and in front of 5.5 million people,” said Lauber.
“I’ve been published in self-help and leadership more frequently than parenting,
but it was certainly fun to work with Ms. Barnes. She was enthusiastic and curious, and I had a
great time working with her on this self-quiz.”
applied psychologist and now journalism/media faculty, Lauber writes and speaks
on leadership and self-management for national audiences as well as Pittsburgh
companies and associations. In the past few months, his articles have been
published over 60 times in national magazines and journals.

on leadership and will be teaching the Leadership class to the IUP Summer
Scholars in 2014.
