We’re really hoping for a big turnout for our upcoming 5K event so we can support the Sports Gear Project of Samaritan’s Purse in a big way. So grab a group of friends, family, or coworkers and sign up! We are hoping to do some things a lot different this year than in the past, starting with the course of the 5K, so be sure to check it out in this edition of the newsletter.

The monthly newsletter is published and edited by the graduate student assistants currently managing the facility and is overseen by the director, Richard Hsiao.

Every issue of our monthly newsletter includes:

  • a feature article about current trends and/or research in health and fitness
  • an informational section about current happenings and events taking place in the fitness center
  • a section about relevant topics and issues in relation to health and fitness (this section is especially entertaining around holidays)
  • healthy recipes and health and fitness tips
  • a brief history of the fitness center and its founder
  • a list of hours of operation and fitness class schedules
