Over the course of the two days he visited, Wallace spoke with nearly 400 students in nine different sessions.

After completing his education at IUP, Wallace went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from Miami University. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on multiple boards.

iPipeline is an industry-leading company specializing in producing sales distribution software.

Wallace has secured more than $100 million in funding for his company to date, the most recent being a $72-billion recap lead by Technology Crossover Ventures.

Management professor John Lipinski had Wallace speak in one of his classes and said that Wallace’s insights gave a real world perspective on many of the subjects that he covers with his students.

Tim Wallace speaking to students“The greatest value added for me as a professor was that I had a very successful alumnus independently confirming much of the advice that I give my students on what it will take if they want to excel in the business world,” Lipinski said. “His story demonstrated to our students how hard work, drive, and determination pay off in the end.”

Not only did Wallace speak with classes in Eberly College of Business, but, as part of a partnership program, a class from Hungary teleconferenced in during his lecture.

Accounting major Christine Shontz said she was thankful for the opportunity to hear Wallace’s advice.

“His eagerness to be successful and continued learning outside of what he’s already achieved was inspiring to my class as well as the class teleconferencing in from Hungary,” Shontz said. “He had great advice and an inspiring story to tell.”
