Health and Physical Education students from the Exercise Science Majors Club participated in the 2014 “Race to Anyplace” stationary bike race.

The team rode a total of 178 miles in the six-hour stationary bike race, raising $2,012 for the cause this year. The club has participated in this event over the past five years and has raised nearly $7,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The race is a fundraising event to benefit the Western PA/West VA Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).  LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. The funds raised through this event will support lifesaving blood cancer research—helping patients live better, longer lives.

The event took place at Heinz Field and included nearly 100 teams. Members of the club would like to thank all our sponsors and look forward to developing the team to compete in 2015.
