Take a moment to show your love for IUP’s donors. Thank them today at the Philanthropy Day celebration in Stapleton Library commons from noon to 2:00 p.m.
President Michael Driscoll; Michele Papakie, chair of the Journalism Department; and students who have
benefited from scholarship support will make remarks at 12:30 p.m.
Last year, 9,818 alumni, employees, students, parents,
friends, and corporations and foundations made gifts of varying sizes in
support of IUP.
“The investments made to the Foundation for IUP by our
donors help to make our university the outstanding place that it is. By
providing support for scholarships, technology, and equipment, all students
directly benefit, and it’s important that our donors know just how thankful we,
as a university community, are,” said Emily Smeltz, director of Annual Giving.
The celebration includes refreshments, a photo booth, and the
opportunity to write a postcard of thanks to a donor who contributed to IUP
last year. Those who attend will also receive a t-shirt (while supplies last).
Those who cannot attend are invited to participate via Twitter. Thank alumni, friends, employees, students, and parents that you appreciate their private support of IUP with the hashtag #IHeartIUP. A Twitter Bingo game also is available.
