Philanthropy Day Postcard 2014

Take a moment to say, "Thanks!"

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to celebrate the generosity of those who support IUP by making private gifts to the Foundation for IUP at Philanthropy Day, Thursday, February 27, 2014, in the Stapleton Library commons.

The celebration takes place from noon to 2:00 p.m. President Michael Driscoll, Professor Michele Papakie, and students who have benefited from scholarship support will make remarks at 12:30 p.m.

If you can't make it to the party at Stapleton, celebrate on Twitter. Using the hashtag #IheartIUP, tell donors why you love IUP. Or, play Twitter Bingo.

Last year, nearly 10,000 alumni, employees, students, parents, and friends made gifts of varying sizes in support of IUP

“The investments made to the Foundation for IUP by our donors help to make our university the outstanding place that it is. By providing support for scholarships, technology, and equipment, all students directly benefit, and it’s important that our donors know just how thankful we, as a university community, are,” said Emily Smeltz, director of Annual Giving.

The celebration includes refreshments, a photo booth, and the opportunity to write a postcard of thanks (shown in the photo) to a donor who contributed to IUP last year. Those who attend will receive a t-shirt (while supplies last).
