The EAPSU Conference (English Association of Pennsylvania State Universities) is being held at IUP this year.

The Pennsylvania English Undergraduate Conference
Sponsored by EAPSU and Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Thursday, March 13, 2014
Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex
711 Pratt Drive, Indiana, PA 15705

Come one! Come all! The annual EAPSU conference welcomes undergraduate students from Pennsylvania and the surrounding regions. We invite papers related in any way to the field of English, including but not limited to literature, creative writing, and interdisciplinary work that bridges English and other disciplines. Our conference theme this year additionally celebrates popular culture in all its manifestations—from comics, genre literature, and television and film to fashion and hip hop.

Proposals for individual papers, creative readings, or three-paper panels should be no longer than 150 words and should include complete contact information for the submitter: name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, as well as home school. Submit completed proposals as an attached document in an e-mail to Dr. John Branscum at eapsu0214@gmail.com. Put "EAPSU 2014 Proposal" in the subject line. Conference questions or concerns (anything but proposals) should have "EAPSU 2014 Question" or similar wording in the subject line.

Papers generally are in the five- to seven-page range, and when read aloud should run no longer than 10 to 15 minutes. Both submitters and general attendees must fill out a registration form. Deadline for submission: February 20, 2014.
