John Wesley Lowery, professor and chair of the Student Affairs in Higher Education Department, made several presentations at the Association for Student Conduct Administration’s annual conference on February 5–8, 2014, in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Lowery’s featured presentation, which reviewed the legislative and regulatory developments of the previous year impacting student conduct administration in higher education, has become a tradition at the conference over the past decade and half.  Lowery has presented a legislative update at the conference since 1999.

Lowery also presented a concurrent session with Tom Baker of the University of Iowa and Jane Tuttle of the University of Kansas entitled “Three Tools for New Professionals: The Reference Guide, CAS Standards, and the Model Code and Procedure.” A recent review of conference programs suggests that no individual has presented more times at the association’s annual conference than Lowery with the possible exception of the association’s founder, Don Gehring.
