Stalking Awareness Month 2013

Posted on 1/22/2014 1:37:45 PM

January is National Stalking Awareness Month. This is a time to focus on a crime that affects 6.6 million victims a year. Every year, the Haven Project challenges our campus to fight this dangerous crime by learning more about it.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to assist the Haven Project in our goal to raise AWAREness by:

  • Scheduling a Stalking AWAREness presentation hosted by Haven Project peer educators and/or staff members
  • Requesting informational materials and/or stalking AWAREness posters for your office or department
  • Knowing and sharing campus/community resources for victims of violence:
    • The Haven Project at the Alice Paul House (24/7 hotline) – 724-349-4444
    • The Haven Project at the Counseling Center – 724-357-2621
    • University Police – 724-357-2141

Please contact Alisia Drew, assistant director of Health AWAREness and Women’s Programs, at to schedule an AWAREness program or request informational materials.
