De-stress and Achieve Success During Finals with IUP Libraries (Extended Hours, Stress Reduction, Food, etc.)

Stress Balls for FinalsIUP Libraries are here to help you through your finals! Not only are librarians on hand, as usual, to aid you in finding, accessing, and using the best resources for your assignments, but we’re extending hours and offering some extra support during this stressful time.

Extended Hours

Beginning Sunday, December 1, the Stapleton/Stabley Library will be open extended hours to accommodate end-of-term academic activity. The hours will be as follows:

  • Sunday, Dec. 1: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m.
  • Monday–Thursday, Dec. 2–5: 7:45 a.m.–2:00 a.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 6: 7:45 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 7: 11:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 8: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m.
  • Monday–Thursday, Dec. 9–12: 7:45 a.m.–2:00 a.m.

“Stress Reduction Kits” from the Center for Health and Well-Being

On Tuesday, December 2, and Wednesday, December 3, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., peer educators from Health AWAREness will provide information on how stress impacts your health, as well as share stress reduction techniques. Students can pick up a “Stress Reduction Kits” full of items to help them relax during finals week in Stapleton on the first floor.

De-stress for Success

IUP Libraries will offer a variety of de-stress activities like crafts and board games in Stapleton on the first floor. Keep up with us on Facebook and Twitter for details!

Food for Finals

Sunday, December 8, through Thursday, December 12, IUP Libraries will give out free cookies and coffee to help students power through their studying. Cookies and coffee will be available from 7:00 p.m. for as long as supplies last in Stapleton on the first floor.

APSCUF Cookies and Hot Chocolate

Tuesday, December 10, from 2:30–5:00 p.m., APSCUF (the faculty union) will provide cookies and hot chocolate for students. Stop by and see them in Stapleton on the first floor!
