Learn valuable meditation exercises at the Undergraduate Mindfulness Workshop on Friday, November 15, 2013, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. in Wallwork, G98. Register by e-mailing your name to Patti at

This workshop consists of two sessions:

The first is a meditation session that will consist of sitting meditation, walking meditation, and group reflection that will be led by Caleb Finegan. The second is a session on Mindful Reading and Writing led by Daniel Weinstein:

“Mindful attention to our bodies (to our breath, to our steps) promotes a quiet sense of calm and well-being that can help us gain insight into reality and empower us to act with concentration and kindness, beyond our insecurities. In this workshop, we look at how we may bring this same mindful awareness to our reading and writing, how we may use these literacy practices as vehicles for contemplative self-exploration and as seed beds of action that is both compassionate and creative.”
